What to Expect:
We believe when people are at their best the world is literally a better place. So, we aspire to create the best workout experience anywhere. Since most bootcamps or fitness studios do total-body workouts everyday, people tend to get injured or burnout pretty quickly. WORK is different. We alternate the body parts and intensities we train each day so that you can exercise daily with confidence. No two WORKouts are the same, so it’s always fresh, and each month we change up our overall focus to keep you gaining progress and results.

Personal Training in a Community Environment.
Meridian Fitness:
Idaho is growing! And as more and more people realize the appeal of the Treasure Valley with it’s wonderful natural amenities, the demand increases for great, local small business. Those looking for a fitness facility or “gyms near me” in the Boise area are limited to a few local bootcamps, big box gyms and Crossfit. While some of these are wonderful options in their immediate neighborhood, northwest Meridian is lacking in terms of fitness centers that offer HIIT workouts and circuit training in a fitness studio environment with a community feel.
Boise and the surrounding areas have always been known for their access to world-class outdoor exercise activities. While outdoor fitness options abound, sometimes you need a comfortable environment to optimize your fitness training no matter the weather. WORK Meridian provides convenient access to world-class trainers that will help with all your weight loss, strength training, and health and fitness goals while welcoming you into a positive community to help improve your life.
WORK Hard. WORK Fun. WORK Together.
Who We Are.
-
WORK was founded, built, and is operated by three local families who are simply looking to leave a positive mark in the world. Husband and wife couple, Dane and Kara Miklaus founded WORK in Southern California in 2015 when they were disappointed with all the other fitness options around. It wasn’t that gyms and bootcamps didn’t offer good workouts, it’s that they lacked the personal touch and care necessary in a relationship-based industry. It was this emphasis on personal relationships that made (and still makes) the original WORK location successful.
It was also this high-touch approach that led one of WORK’s devoted clients, Madison Russell, to ask Dane and Kara for a job in 2016. As a forensic accountant, Madison used fitness and exercise to de-stress from her emotionally demanding job. After working on a large divorce-settlement case, Madison had had enough of watching people’s lives get broken apart, and she wanted to participate more in the healing. She originally joined TeamWORK as a trainer, but quickly expressed aspirations of contributing at a deeper level. She is the consummate example of hard WORK, integrity, and devotion, and has become an irreplaceable part of the leadership team.
In the summer of 2021, Jeff Burmeister (who coincidentally used to work with Dane and Kara at a different fitness studio) was at a park in Meridian with his wife, Megan, and daughter, Brooklyn, wearing a WORK shirt. A stranger walked up to him, commenting on his shirt, and the pair began conversing about how much fun it would be if WORK had a location in Idaho. Jeff and Megan, who met as trainers (and she a studio-manager) at an Orangetheory location, decided this was a sign. The couple had been talking about opening their own studio for months and had always considered WORK to be their favorite exercise format and overall experience of all the fitness facilities they visited over the years. Jeff, texted Dane the next day to ask about any possibility of WORKing together in some capacity. Little did he and Megan know that Dane and Madison had each purchased homes in Idaho already and were in the process of moving their families to the Treasure Valley.
Over the last year, the families have WORKed, played, laughed, cried, and prayed together. This location in Meridian, Idaho, means something uniquely special to each of them, and they all look forward to welcoming you into their hearts and homes.
